Playboy porn broadcast on Disney channel

Children watching the Disney Channel in Chile were offered a startling adults-only peek of Playboy programming this week because of a technical error, media has reported.

And the glimpse they caught went a long way beyond Playboy's bunny logo romping around on a channel normally reserved for Mickey Mouse and friends.

"My eldest daughter told me one of her friends said to put on channel 21 (Disney), and instead of the usual program there was the Playboy channel. Luckily my smallest one, 10 years old, was sleeping at the time," one Chilean mother, Jacqueline Orchad, told the daily El Mercurio.

Another mother said: "My daughter showed me the TV and said 'look, mommy' - and I almost fell off my chair."

The cable company responsible, VTR, said the mix-up occurred only in the northern city of Antofagasta, and only for a few minutes late on Tuesday.

It said the channel switch happened inadvertently while technicians were updating the system.

A member of Chile's National Television Council, Hernan Chadwick, raged: "This is unacceptable. This is a grave mistake."

He demanded that VTR make up for the error by "giving an explanation to parents."

It is not the first time Playboy has turned up uninvited on children-only channels.

Last month, Time Warner Cable in the United States had to apologise after it put out restricted porn on children's television for two hours in the state of North Carolina.

Disney's Next 'High School Musical'-Like Movie Found In Novel 'Lemonade Mouth'

Now that so many of their stars are growing up and moving out, Disney is trying to create their next Next Big Thing. The Hollywood Reporter got news that the Disney Channel is ordering a new Original Movie musical based off the novel, "Lemonade Mouth."

Following the "High School Musical" formula, "Lemonade Mouth" by Mark Peter Hughes tells the story of five freshman high schoolers who meet in detention a la "The Breakfast Club" but choose forming a garage band using unusual instruments like ukuleles as their form of teenage rebellion. The script was written by April Blair who wrote the not-so-successful 2008 Jessica Simpson film "Major Movie Star" as well as the upcoming "Monte Carlo."

The year 2009 saw a drop-off in Disney's televised films, though "Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam" will be sure to bring in the ratings when it debuts in September, Disney is sure to be hoping for another big break with "Lemonade Mouth."

To make sure that happens, Disney has called in Emmy-nominated producer Debra Martin Chase to lead the project. She is responsible for the success of "The Cheetah Girls" as well as the films "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and "The Princess Diaries." This means that not only are we likely to see a whole new generation drawn into the Disney musical madness, but we're also likely to get the next Anne Hathaway or Blake Lively out of it. No complaints here.

Monsters Inc 2

A sequel, Monsters, Inc. 2, was announced and is scheduled to be released on November 16, 2012.
